About Us

The Nashville Junior Chamber was founded in 1921 for the purpose of offering civic and social opportunities for young professionals in the Nashville area. As our organization evolved, these opportunities have changed and adapted, but one thing remains constant: NJC opportunities enable members to connect with other young professionals and established business leaders while engaging in unparalleled hands-on professional development and leadership training.

Our Vision is to develop the foundation for success for Nashville's young professionals.

Our Mission is to develop our members personally, professionally and philanthropically by maximizing our individual and collective potential.

Our Values — As an organization, we center around these 4 principles to better serve our members: Development, Inclusivity, Community, and Engagement.

Our Four Pillars

These Four Pillars define our focus as an organization. It's how we achieve our mission to develop our members personally and professionally by maximizing our individual and collective potential.

Throughout our Four Pillars, the Nashville Junior Chamber has a commitment and passion for Inclusive and Diverse membership, programming, and events to ensure that ALL of Nashville’s young professionals have a space to grow personally and professionally.

Professional Development

Learn from peers and seasoned professionals at regular events featuring business leaders and networking opportunities. Attend a First Friday luncheon and learn from some of Nashville's most respected business leaders. Ask questions and connect with professionals in a variety of fields. Additionally, each fall the NJC hosts The Leadership Institute where selected participants learn what it takes to be an impactful leader in all facets of their professional and personal life.

Civic

The NJC has a long history of participation in the city's civic life. Members have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive discussions with local political figures including Metro City Council members, the mayor, and more. The NJC also hosts an annual Pitch competition that provides an opportunity for innovative thinkers to provide solutions to Nashville’s pressing problems. Whether you're interested in running for political office, learning about the latest news around the city, or sharing your opinion, the NJC gives you a voice.

Philanthropy

Give back to the Nashville community through fundraising events and service projects. Each year we host events to raise funds for our charitable partners. From our Golf Invitational to our famous Ragin' Cajun Crawfish Boil, you can help plan or simply attend these events and make a huge difference. Beyond large-scale philanthropic events, the NJC also hosts weekend volunteer hands-on experiences that benefit various nonprofits around Nashville.

Networking

Meet young professionals and community leaders in professional and social environments. From mixers at Sounds games to our monthly membership meetings, members have opportunities to network and build professional and personal connections multiple times a month.
