The Junior Chamber's First Friday Lunch features an exclusive opportunity for both an intimate conversation with a local business leader as well as focused networking with a small group of young professionals. 

Ed Clay is the former owner of Nashville MMA and professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter ranking as high as number 9 in the world. He is also the former CEO of Gameness Fightwear, the largest supplier of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial arts uniforms in the world and was the owner of Grapplegear the largest online sellers of MMA equipment until it’s merger with Gameness Fightwear. Currently Ed along with his two business partners Scott Nelson and Deddrick Perry, have acquired the Centro Hospitalario Internacional Pacifico in Baja California, Mexico, with a goal to address some of the glaring issues with cancer management in the United States.

Ed Clay is an entrepreneur and thought leader IN Nashville with a vast, diverse portfolio of experiences. A former professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, Ed ranked as high as number 9 in the world. His clothing brand, Gameness, which was acquired in 2011, was one of the largest suppliers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Martial Arts uniforms in the world. He was a MMA co-host of a highly rated FM sports radio show for 8 years. He is the former owner and Editor in Chief of Submission Fighter magazine. In 2015, along with his 2 partners Scott Nelson and Deddrick Perry, Clay acquired the Centro

Hospitalario Internacional Pacifico in Baja California, Mexico. Ed is also interested in developing solutions to address some of the glaring issues with cancer management in the United States and is a strong supporter of Integrative Translational Oncology: believing that the ”bench to bedside,”approach is a better model to fast track leading edge cancer treatments to patients.

Ed is considered a pioneer in the direct response internet marketing space. His vast experience with messaging and online media along with 18 years-experience as an entrepreneur gives him a unique skill set as President of United Cancer Centers.
