Join us for an exclusive luncheon with Tim Douglas, Senior VP and Regional Director of Private Banking at FirstBank

The Junior Chamber's First Friday Lunch features an exclusive opportunity for both an intimate conversation with a local business leader as well as focused networking with a small group of young professionals.

Nashville native Tim Douglas graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy in 1973 and from Tulane University’s Engineering School in 1977. He received a Master of Arts in International Commerce from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at The University of Kentucky in December, 1978. Tim began his career in the financial services industry in New York where he worked for a large financial services company for 6 years before moving to Nashville to continue his career in the financial services industry. In 1995, Tim left financial services to purchase an operating company, Can-Do National Tape. Can-Do was a distributor of adhesive tape products, and Tim expanded the business into converting and fabricating parts for the automotive and appliance industries. He successfully exited the business in 2008. In the following years, Tim worked as an advisor to other companies before eventually joining Covenant Surgical Partners on a full time basis as manager of the company’s gastrointestinal (GI) surgery centers. He later purchased the assets of Covenant’s pain management business and partnered with rural hospitals in the administration of pain management services. After a year of funding the Company himself and in need of much greater resources, he wound that business down and joined Anderson Benson, a local insurance agency. At Anderson Benson, he met with over 25 different insurance agencies in the Middle Tennessee area, seeking to purchase their businesses – with the intent of merging them into Anderson Benson. The business plan called for him to manage the consumer insurance business of the acquired agencies while Anderson Benson would manage the commercial business. After a press release regarding activities at Anderson Benson, FirstBank contacted Tim to ask if he would consider becoming its Nashville Market President. He accepted and has now been with FirstBank for over six years and currently serves as Senior VP and Regional Director of Private Banking – catering to high net worth individuals and their businesses. In his free time, Tim enjoys playing golf and played the piano and the bagpipes at one time. He served as President of Belle Meade Country Club for two years and started the Boulevard Bolt, a Thanksgiving Day run/walk benefitting the Homeless. He has also served on the Board of various civic entities, was on the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Belle Meade and Forrest Hills – and was elected Commissioner for the City of Forrest Hills. He currently sits on the Board of the Legion Fund, which supports the 5th Group Special Forces (the Green Berets), and on the Board of the Tennessee World Affairs Council, which seeks to educate students and the general population about current world affairs.

Tickets are $20 each and include your lunch, tax and gratuity!
