The NJC Mentoring Program

Applications for the Nashville Junior Chamber’s Mentoring Program will open again the Winter of 2023. Training sessions and matches occur on an annual basis in the winter. There is a full overview of the program included below, but if you have any additional questions please reach out to membership@nashvillejuniorchamber.org .

Description

The NJC Mentor Program has been thoughtfully developed in partnership with our board, active members, alumni network, and Nashville business leader community to provide our members with an intentional and results focused mentor relationship. The program consists of 3 key components:

  1. Mentee training that lays out firm expectations and provides guidance toward maximizing the impact of a mentor's time and attention.

  2. Curated pairings between NJC members as mentees and local business and thought leaders as mentors.

  3. On-going program support and monitoring for the first year to ensure that all parties are upholding their end of the Mentoring agreement and receiving value from the program.

Commitment Requirements

  • A monthly 1 hour meeting with your mentor. Schedule is set between the mentor and the mentee based on mutual convenience.

  • Mentee will provide mentor with the 3 topics they’d like to discuss at least 48 hours in advance of each meeting.

What You Get

A highly intentional pairing with a mentor selected from the Nashville Junior Chamber’s extended network of community leaders as well as training and guidance aimed toward increasing the value you receive from the mentor relationship.

Cost

$50 program fee, due upon completion of all application requirements and prior to receiving a mentor match. Matches are selected on an individual basis and in the event the program administrators are unable to find an ideal match within 6 months of a mentee’s application, said mentee will have their application fee refunded to them.
