Come out and celebrate Read Across America Day with the Nashville Junior Chamber and the students of Tom Joy Elementary School! Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that was created to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among children. It takes place every year on the birthday of beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss.
Volunteer with us on Thursday March 2nd from 9-11am at Tom Joy Elementary School. During this event, volunteers will have the opportunity to read a book to a class at Tom Joy and help the students with a fun activity based on the book!
We are excited for this Hands On Volunteering opportunity, created with our partnership with Communities in Schools of Tennessee- we can’t wait to see you there!
